Oxin, part of the business unit Talenta: Professional Kitchen Systems and Products, has won two orders worth a total of 36.6 million Euro.
The contract, signed with the renowned German shipyard Meyer Werft, concerns the construction of two ships for Carnival Cruise Line for a total value of 36.6 million euros, a record in Oxin’s construction history.
Specifically, the company will be responsible for the design, construction and turnkey installation of all catering, galley and bar areas, including 12 complete kitchens for each ship, spread over 20 decks.
They are scheduled for completion in H1 2027 and H1 2028 respectively.
Oscar Marchetto, Chairman of the Somec Group, pointed out: “These two new orders testify to a renewed relationship of trust with a consolidated partner such as Meyer Werft, at a strategic time for the cruise market. The sector is undergoing an important phase of development, with an increase in fleet renewal, and our Group, with its three business units, is ready to seize the many opportunities that lie ahead”.
