SOMEC Group co. BLUESTEEL S.r.l., a European player in the construction and installation of curtain walls and fixtures, has obtained a new order in the United Kingdom worth approximately 9 million pounds (approximately 10.5 million euros at current exchange rates) relating to the redevelopment project of an iconic tower, symbol of London in the Sixties, adapted to the highest standards of quality and sustainability.
BLUESTEEL will operate on behalf of one of the most important real estate companies in the United Kingdom, taking care of the design, supply and installation of the new entrance pavilion of the building, of the screening of the plant area and of the new volume that will be built to crown the tower.
Overall, BLUESTEEL will provide over 5,000 sqm of curtain walls, made of different materials, adapted to the highest standards of quality and sustainability, in full coherence with the redevelopment project.
“Being able to make BLUESTEEL’s know-how available for such an innovative and modern project, which makes sustainability and liveability of the spaces its key points, is a source of great satisfaction for the company and the entire Group – underlined Oscar Marchetto, Chairman of Somec -. This order, which involves very important players, comes a few months after another significant contract awarded by BLUESTEEL in the British capital. An aspect, the latter, which not only demonstrates the liveliness of the construction sector in the United Kingdom, but above all confirms the consistency of our skills with the demand of that market”.
